Throughout October: Overnight Lane Reductions and Closures of Exit 46 Off-Ramp
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announce there will be overnight, temporary lane closures on I-93 north and southbound in Methuen as well as short-term overnight closures of the off-ramp at Exit 46 throughout October as part of the ongoing Methuen Rotary Reconstruction Project.
These impacts will begin on the evening of Sunday, October 1, and continue every Sunday through Friday night, weather permitting, until the morning of Saturday, October 28. During these times, crews will safely and effectively conduct construction operations including placement of pavement and pavement markings.
- Single lane closures on I-93 southbound: from 6:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.
- Single lane closures on I-93 northbound: from 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.
- Double lane closures on I-93 north and southbound: from 10:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.
Signs, traffic control devices, temporary detour signs and variable message boards will be used to guide drivers through the work zone.
MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time through this area during all periods of the day and night. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
